The North Dakota Angus Association’s 20th Annual Bull Test is being held at Ridl Farms, Dickinson N.D. The sale will be held April 28, 2008, at Stockmen’s Livestock Exchange, Dickinson, N.D. This year in addition to the Bull Test Sale, the North Dakota Angus Association will again be sponsoring a pen heifer calf sale. If you have any good Angus heifers to market, this may be an excellent place to sell them.

L.J. & Janet Dohrmann of Taylor, N.D, Bull Test Committee Chairmen, report that 113 bulls consigned by 39 Angus breeders competed in a 112-day test. At the final 112-day mark, the 114 bulls had an average weight of 1302, an average daily gain of 3.92 pounds and a weight per day of age of 3.43 pounds.

Leading the ADG in the high birth weight division with a gain of 4.85 pounds per day is Lot 114, a son of HARB High Plains 223, consigned by Farview Angus, Regent, N.D. In second place with a gain of 4.83 pounds per day is Lot 102, a son of ONeils Expedition, consigned by Lonesome Dove Angus, Wyoming, Minn. In third place with a gain of 4.79, is Lot 17, a son of WAR Alliance 9126-6006, consigned by Opp Bros. Angus, Hebron, N.D.

Leading the WDA in the high birth weight division with a gain of 3.96 pounds per day is Lot 58, a son of KF Dateline 419, consigned by Schaff Angus Cattle, St. Anthony, N.D. In second place is Lot 42 with a gain of 3.92, a Schurrtop MC 2500, consigned by Koski Land & Cattle Co., Wing, N.D. In third place is Lot 59 with a gain of 3.89, a son of MAS 703 Bando 3614, consigned by Schaff Angus Cattle, St. Anthony, N.D.

Leading the ADG in the low birth weight division with a gain of 4.66 pounds per day is Lot 47, a son of Koupals B&B Balancer 4017, consigned by Thompson Angus, Kintyre, N.D. In second place with a gain of 4.65 is Lot 4, a son of SAR New Frontier 1156, consigned byMarts Angus, Timber Lake, S.D. In third place with a gain of 4.54 is Lot 3, a son of B/R New Frontier 095, consigned by Airway Angus, Almont, N.D.

Leading the WDA in the low birth weight division with a gain of 3.91 is Lot 47, a son of Koupals B&B Balancer 4017, consigned by Thompson Angus, Kintyre, N.D. In second place with a gain of 3.70 is Lot 45, a son of Mytty In Focus, consigned by Thompson Angus, Kintyre, N.D. In third place with a gain of 3.69 is Lot 4, a son of SAR New Frontier 1156, consigned by Marts Angus,Timber Lake, S.D.
