Commercial Breeder of the Year Application

The Commercial Breeder of the Year award is presented to a commercial Angus breeder who has successfully committed their time and resources to positively contribute to the Angus breed. If you feel you know someone that meets this requirement and should be recognized for their efforts, fill out the application below and send to Ashley & Travis Bruner, 3651 10th Ave ND, Drake, ND 58736. The winner will be recognized at the North Dakota Angus Association Annual Meeting & Banquet held each November.

Scholarships

North Dakota Angus Association Award Endowment Fund

Sale proceeds from donated heifers and other contributions by generous Angus breeders enabled the North Dakota Angus Association to establish the North Dakota Angus Association Endowment Fund in June 2004 with a gift of $23,500. Subsequent gifts to the Fund have been made by North Dakota Angus Association and individual Angus breeders. This Fund provides scholarships to Angus youth from North Dakota attending college and/or supports sponsorships for North Dakota youth to attend the national Leaders Engaged in Angus Development (LEAD) Conference. Recipients are selected by the North Dakota Angus Association Scholarship Selection Committee from the organization’s scholarship application.

The application for the 2016 scholarship must be postmarked by November 7, 2016. Send completed application to North Dakota Angus Association, 3651 10th Ave NE, Drake, ND 58736. Applicant will be chosen and awarded at the Annual Meeting and Banquet on Nov. 11, 2017, at the Ramada, Bismarck, ND.

2016 Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Application

 

Joseph and Ruby Schaff/Schaff Angus Ranch Scholarship Endowment Fund

Funded initially with a $10,000 gift in 2006 from Joseph and Ruby Schaff of Schaff Angus Ranch of St. Anthony, N.D., the Joseph and Ruby Schaff/Schaff Angus Ranch Scholarship will permanently carry the legacy of these long-time Angus breeders. Angus youth from North Dakota who meet the qualifications and requirements for the Angus Foundation Scholarship Program will be eligible for consideration by the Angus Foundation Scholarship Committee for this scholarship. The Joseph and Ruby Schaff/Schaff Angus Ranch Scholarship will be awarded to a different recipient each year. The Angus Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Program application will be used to select the Joseph and Ruby Schaff/Schaff Angus Ranch Scholarship recipient. The first scholarship was awarded at the 2006 National Junior Angus Show. Recipients may also receive other scholarships from the Angus Foundation or local, state, regional, and national Angus-related entities.
